Climbing Snow Bridge Mountain

No more of parental rules!

We're heading for the snow!

Good riddance to those grown up ghouls!

We're leaving! Yukon Ho!”
-Bill Watterson

“When it snows, you have two choices: shovel or make snow angels” - Unknown

As Fr. Ignatius Xavier got out his Rosary Beads, he began to pray. As he began to pray a name came to him. Names often came to him as he prayed so it was nothing strange to him. The name that came to him was Randy McFee. He didn’t know who Randy McFee was, He didn’t know how old He was, All He knew was that He was supposed to Pray for Him.

And so He prayed.

Dear Lord please help Randy Mcfee, please send your angels to watch over him.

That x-mass Randy had gotten two gifts that changed his outlook on life.

The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis and The Marvelous Land of OZ by L. Frank Baum.

Call me Randy. Ready to hear some long drown out musings about my mis-adventures? Either way, some months ago--never mind how long precisely--having no school and nothing particular to interest me in the house, I thought I would sail about a little and see the watery part of the world. It is a way I have of driving off the irritation and regulating the circulation and avoiding Pale ire, envy and despair. Whenever I find myself growing grim about the mouth; whenever it is a damp, drizzly and dark November in my soul; whenever I find myself involuntarily pausing before funeral homes, and bringing up the rear of every funeral precession I meet; and especially whenever the hungry hungry hippos get such an super bite out of me, that it requires a strong moral principle to prevent me from deliberately stepping into the street in front of a big blue bus , and methodically knocking people's hats off--then, I account it high time to get to sea as soon as I can. This is my substitute for an automatic rifle with lazar scope. With a philosophical flourish the WWII Japanese solider throws himself upon his sword; I quietly take to the ship.

This had spurred his love of reading. Reading took the reader into a whole imaginary new world and that is where Randy found himself as he was plucked from a snow bank by a snowman. It had been a snow day and Randy had the day off from school to enjoy the freshly new fallen snow. And Randy’s mother had warned Him more then once. Do not jump off the roof into the snow bank. But Randy being 10 years old didn’t always pay attention to His mother, as much of a good boy as he really was. And so it wasn’t a surprise to him when he got pulled out of a snow bank on the side of a mountain by a snowman. Randy had probably figured out from reading his books that his mother probably did not want him to jump off the roof into a snow bank because she knew that somehow he would end of in another world. That was his thinking at the time anyway. And so He looked around and saw snowmen trying to help children onto sleds. Not just children but adults and various people of many nationalities.

And so he decided that He would get on a sled to.. Not really thinking just kind of accepting. And as he was about to get on a sled being helped by a snowman. He heard his name from up the Mountain.

Randy Randy. And He paused. Perhaps instead of going down the mountain, perhaps he should go up the mountain. Yes. People in Fantasy books always went on a quest. This looked like it was a quest. An adventure. And so he preceded to go up the mountain when He was stopped by a snowman. We go down the mountain here, we don’t go up. And Randy didn’t know what to do. He didn’t want to pick a fight with a snowman. When all of a sudden two little white seals came and just kinna pushed the snowman down. And the snowman went tumbling down the mountain. Randy didn’t want to stick around long enough to find out what the snowman were going to do as they were kinna sprawled all over the place. He proceeded to trek up the mountain with the two little seals.

After a little while Randy noticed a sound in the distance. He turned around. He didn’t’ really see anything except the mountain. But a little white dot in the midst of the whiteness was gaining and coming closer. It soon got into sight and he saw what it was. The ASPB. Randy didn’t like ASPB and so he decided to continue trekking up the mountain a little bit faster. The ASPB gained on him. And it got bigger and bigger. Randy kept running faster and faster. The ASPB was just about upon him. He was getting so close and all of a sudden some snow balls came sailing over Randy’s head and hit the ASPB in the face. He toppled backwards and tried to get up again but more snowballs came and knocked the PB over. And the PB sensing temporary defeat walked back down the Mt. thinking to itself. Randy will be ours. Randy went around the bend where the snowballs had come. And found his savior. A penguin packing snowballs. The Walrus who was near him gave Randy a steaming cup of Hot Chocolate. The little seals stood by. The Penguin said “ we don’t have much time. Yes I stopped those PB but there will be more ASPB out to get you.

There out to get get me? Said Randy

Yes there out to get you personally. They want you Randy. They want you to go down the mountain.

What is wrong with going down the mountain.

Because you will end up in the other world and it is not time to go into the other world.
The other world?

Your in snow bridge mountain. Look there is not really a lot of time to explain. Here

And he gave randy a CANDY Cane. It was a giant cc by the way.

What am I supposed to do with this.

Well, When You need it you will know.

And he shoved Randy off with the two little seals and the voice up the Mountain calling Randy. And so he followed the voice up the mountain.

And soon he got to a icy path.

It was a path up the Mt that was made up of Ice. Didn’t see any other way around. He decided to try to carefully climb up the path when he started to slip. The little seals held him up. He remembered the candy Cane and so he brought it out and began to trek up the icy path. Just as 3 PB came around the corner and slid down the icy path and went down the mountain.

When He got to the end of the icy path he got tired and a little exhausted and he lost his balance and the Candy cane went down the mountain. He couldn’t save it. And he felt tired. He knew the Polar bears would get him. When the two little white seals started to sing.

WW song.

And this song gave Randy energy. It was one of his favorite songs. It was a song Him and his two little sisters always sang. His two little sisters, aww he loved his little sisters, they were such wonderful sisters. Always wore his white coats everywhere. They looked like two little seals. He continued going up the mountain. He got to the top and when he got to the top. He noticed several differing igloos. He saw one with his name on it. He proceeded to go towards it when 10 aspb stepped in his way.
Randy was scared he didn’t know what to do. The two little seals kept going arr arrr.

This old man came kinna from nowhere and said …Randy you don’t have to be afraid of the Polar bears. You must embrace your PB it is time you just got to accept it. This om embraced his PB got on top of it and sled down the MT with it. Randy thought was the penguin telling me the truth. Are the ASPB really not that abomible after all? Randy was thinking this when He continued to hear the voice from the igloo. And then He looked and saw a snow angel on the ground. Randy had seen plenty of snow angels. This one was somewhat different as it kinna popped up off the ground and took form of an Eskimo. This Eskimo brought out this ice sword and began swatting snow PB.

Quick randy get into the igloo. Randy knew when a fierce warrior came out and started swatting who you thought the enemy was out of the way it was time to listen to that voice. He was going towards the igloo when a PB stood in front and said. You shall not pass, you are ours. Randy was a little bit scared until a snowball came and hit the PB in the face and stunned him long enough for Randy to get into the igloo He heard the angry roars of PB all around him, but they could not get in. But the SA did.

He said Radny you must get through this opening to whre you belong.

Randy said who are you exactly.

I was sent to protect you from the aspb. Just who are the ASPB

Randy when you jumped off your roof when your mother told you not to, you landed in this little bridge between worlds. If you were to go down the hill you would arrive in the next world and you would be in that world for ever. You would be in eternity.

Eternity? You are saying I was going to be.

That is exactly what I am saying.

Oh dear God have Mercy

And He has mercy. It is not time for you to go yet. Quickly go to your family before your igloo melts
And you will be taken by the PB to the other side. And as he said this he saw a paw coming through the igloo as it melted. Randy quicky jumped through the door and he awoke to the sounds of his parents delightful glees. His two little sisters were wearing their white coats singing WW. And he was home.

F IX finished His rosary and wondered how his prayers had helped RM. And as he thought this and looked out his window into the freshly fallen snow, he saw a snow angel. And he thought he could see its wings slightly moving.
