The Mysterious Unknown Assailant was racing towards the intersection at the end of the street at the same time Old Man Silva was racing to the Intersection. The next Noise that was heard was a big
SMASH!
The small number of people ran over to where the cars crashed. They acted like they had never seen a Car Crash before. Well, they never had, that is in Hushville. An exciting thing some people would do was to travel to Bigsville, next door to Hushville, and sit on 31/2 Avenue and watch Big Shot Hot Rodding Teenagers crash into things. There was once this kid turning into The Dead Chicken (Convince Store) that hit a car as he was turning. This car crashed into a Police Cruiser that was just taking off and that car crashed into Milli Vanilla’s Limo that was going by. During the crash Milli Vanilla lost their copy of an album that they had sung themselves. Up until that time they hadn’t yet learned English and thought it best to lip sync their music. This tape was to be their big comeback after being exposed as fakes. This crash apparently was the mortal wound that helped sink their careers after it had already been struck by the torpedo of truth.. Anyway, Manual stepped toward the car. The Mysterious Unknown Assailant was out cold. Old Man Silva got out and much to his shock, his Jaguar was no more. Silva wondered how a 1979 Love Bug could do so much damage. Didn’t they stop making those before 79?
Manual took the Mysterious Unknown Assailant to his apartment in Bigsville. The only reason Manual worked in Hushville was to stay away from the noise of the big city. Actually at the Tribune, where he worked, he was known as the Turtle. He wasn't a bad writer and wasn't even stupid, as another reporter who always fell for the snake jumping out of the fake peanuts can gag, he was slow. It took him two mounts to figure out that he should look on, Daisy Junkins farm, for clues. He came to the conclusion that Daisy Junkln was a prime suspect in the murder, seeing that she has been missing since the STILL UNKNOWN, bodies had been found. He than decided to Tallow up on the lead with the receipt from The Local Market. The Sheriff was then working on the case. They decided to become a team and work on the case together. Actually about one month ago the Sheriff thought he should get away from all the stress, of Hushville and take a three-week vacation in Hawaii. Could the sheriff have found out something in Hawaii??? Something that lead him to investigate the murder. Something that got him murdered? Anyway, the Tribune sent him to Hushville as to get rid of him in a way that they would not hurt his feelings. With all the extra time off, he had plenty of time to work on the case.
Manual was wondering what to do with the Mysterious Unknown Assailant. He would have called the police but didn’t want to tie up the local phone 1/2 mile away, as Old Man Silva needed it to call his insurance company. Manual just assumed that someone would clean up after the sheriff and notify the right people. Pastor Johnny Preacher, pastor of ‘His Justice Will Smite Church‘, was also the guy in charge of cleaning up after people who died. He usually went to Bigsville to preach in the city square about how everybody was going to hell.
“You arrre alllll a bunchh o hypercrits who doo nott know howw to serrrve Jeesus, “ he would say to any Christian who might be listening. It was always fun to watch him get into debates with all kinds of people. The most interesting one was with a guy who thought that Bill Gates was God, and he gave proof from the bible why it was so. The Cyber Guy apparently had discovered (by computer) an expiration date in the book of revelation. After death all would be converted to cyber people and would live in computers somewhere in the universe, he told the crowds. The actual debate lasted 4.5 hours and had a huge crowd around watching. It was televised on the Bigsville Access TV. 3 people were converted to the cyber position. They burned a Mac in front of the crowd and one of them got into a fight with a scientologist when he accused L. Ron Hubbard of being a false prophet, an unsophisticated science fiction writer. and had insulted the acting ability of Tom Cruse and John Travolta. Johnny left with lockjaw from preaching so hard that day. Any thing from Microsoft after this was of the devil and to be burned. '
Manual put the Mysterious Unknown Assailant on the couch. Manual did not dare take the black mask of the mysterious unknown Assailant. as he thought it would be rude and impolite.
“Maybe in the next chapter will find out who he is? What do you think?”
